SWTOR Looking to be sucessful

Star Wars: The Old Republic has been hit with a lot of bad press in the recent months. With players claiming it to be a shoddy rip off of World of Warcraft, and analysts predicting that the game hasn't been as successful as EA hoped it would be.

Today, EA managed to show that they are doing something right with their game. As Eurogamer reports, EA gave out some pretty big numbers regarding SWTOR With over 2 million copies of the game sold and, more importantly, 1.7 million people subscribing to the game. That's not just people who just have accounts, that's people who have begun to pay their subscription to the game.

I think this is great to hear, I really wanted The Old Republic to succeed and it looks like it's well on it's way to doing that. The game itself is quite a lot of fun, even though I seem to be burnt out on it at the moment, the times that I do play, I'm down for a good couple of hours. There is also news that Bioware is going to be having sessions with players which really shows how committed they are to keeping this thing going.
