South Park RPG Announced

South Park and video games haven't gone together well in the past. Producing 2 pretty awful Nintendo 64 games. However, in recent years, we've seen a good few small games based on and around the four kids of Colarado that have actually been pretty decent.

Over this weekend, Gameinformer magazine revealed a full on south park game. The game will be an RPG that will be based around fitting in apparently, and promises to keep all the humor of the tv show. There is a brilliant post over on Neogaf that give us a sum up of all the info that is available. The gameplay looks to be similar to the Paper Mario games with visible battle encounters and a 2D battle system.

This sounds pretty awesome, recent South Park games have been pretty fun to play. Being from Obsidian, you can expect the quality to be pretty good. Not only that, but the interview with Matt Stone and Trey Parker clearly shows that these guys are behind it 100% and it'll be just as funny as the show. It's looking at 2012 on 360, PS3 and PC.
