Anarchy Reigns Hit With Delay

Anarchy Reigns, the spiritual successor to the violent brawler Madworld, looks to be delayed into the early summer of 2012.

As joystiq reports, the game is going to see itself delayed in around the world with a European release of the 6th of July, Austraila the 5th of July and North America the 3rd of July. Platinum were pretty silent on the matter of what might caused the delay only saying "It's something to do with scale. Let's just say traditional one on one or two verses two fighter will be a thing of the past."

So it looks to me like Anarchy Reigns will be getting more than 6 players multiplayer if that statement is anything to go by. I played the game at E3 this year, and while it seemed like an interesting idea, it certainly didn't feel like a game I would personally enjoy. However, I'm sure that the idea of a mass brawler online really appeals to fans of fighting games so this has the potential to mean something really good for the game.
